JOE GILBERT

Joe Gilbert, aka Metchosin Joe, aka The Mayor, is a wheeling legend!

This man child is responsible for destroying most of the island's stash of Toyota parts.

He has since installed 100% pure 'Murican' muscle in the form of 5.3LTR LS V8 with all the Vertechy's, a massive Dana 60 front end and 14 bolt rear end!

He also smashes gears with a manual trans, who does that??

They say "You can't loose on 42's" but Metchosin Joe will find a way!

He will also be available at any hour of the day if you need a belly button shot.

ROHAN ERCK

Rohan Erck or "Robum Shovel" as he likes to be called on a Friday night, is Mr.Consistent.

He always keeps a cool head and keeps moving forward, even if it's at a snails pace!

Rohan has built his Suzuki using mostly used factory Jeep parts, being from the little island he is all about recycling. While Rohan always drives the wheels off of his 13 hp Suzuki he always comes up a little short...

Always the brides maid, never the Bride.

TARREN HALAREWICH

Taran and the BCC crew will be returning to the Island Cup this year for more belly button shots from Metchosin Joe. Taran has decided not go to boy band concert this year and come hang with the boys! Taran runs one of the biggest/oldest custom 4x4 shops in BC and has been supporting the Cup since day one. Can Taran put down the chi-tea latte and keep it on 4 wheels?

ALEX HINDS

The only 2 time Champ!

Alex will literally drive the tires off his LS powered cut up 87 4runner. With 40" treps attached to a Dana 60 and a 14 bolt.

Watch for him this year as he goes for his 3rd title!

JUSTIN BISSONETTE

Justin Bissonette will be entering his 1st Island Cup.
Running a Twisted Customs cloned buggy with some 39" Reds attached to Dana 60s front and rear.
Engine is a LS3 and he will use every bit of horsepower its got.

SPENCER HUGHES

Spencer Hughes and his life partner 'ICE MAN' will be out there to prove you don't need a good looking rig to hang with the boys. Spencer's turbo powered Suzuki will be bouncing off the rev limiter all weekend.

SEAN WILLIAMS

Sean williams, aka 'Seany Rotten', aka 'Roll-Over Rotten' is running a LSL engine with a TH350 trans, atlas 2 speed, Dana 60 front diff with a spool, RCV axles and 4.88 gears.

The rear diff is a Dana 60 with Yukon axles, spool and 4.88 gears.

King coil overs all around and 42" Treps.

They don't call him 'Roll-Over Rotten' for nothing, the question is how many times will he roll.

ANDY BOEHM

Andy has been driving buggies for over 10 years based out of Langley BC.
His rock crawler is a single seat tube chassis buggy. The drive train is trans axle with a mid engine design.
The motor is a 3.8L supercharged V6 from a 2000 Pontiac GTP along with the transmission. He runs front and rear flipped Dana 60s with ARB air lockers.
The suspension is a 3 link setup, aluminum links using sway away shocks.
Watch out for this main-lander as he competes in his first Island Cup.

CODY THERRIEN

Cody is rocking a mint 1999 Toyota Tacoma V6 with a 3 link front suspension and a 4 link in the rear.

Dual Toyota t-cases with a dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear.

Running on 40s watch for Cody to drive the wheels off his very clean 99 Tacoma.

TREVOR MACPHERSON

Trevor's Suzuki garbage car can be seen flying through the air trying to clear some of the larger obstacles!
Trevor took 1ST place in Island Cup 2011.
His Suzuki garbage car is riding on new 37" Maxxis Treps.

Can Trevor bring the Cup back to the island?

KARL LOFTSTROM

Karl competed last year in his Ford Ranger.
He decided he better upgrade the diffs to 1 ton axles and after cutting apart the Ranger to make the diffs fit he decided its time to make a buggy. Using parts from the Ranger, 1 ton diffs, dual t-cases and 40" stickies.
Karl is taking on the 100 day buggy challenge, We know it can be done, So watch for Karl to debut His brand new buggy at the cup.

MIKE BULLEN

Mike Bullen is all about cracking cold ones with the boys, because Saturday is for the boys! Mike's Suzuki is more Toyota than Suzuki with a Toyota 22RE, Toyota trans , Toyota mini truck diffs, dual t-case, and sticky-ish 37" Toyo tires.

Bullen could be fighting for the top spot or just fighting a garbage can...

Come find out if Bullen can lay off the cold ones long enough to get on the podium

SAM ERCK

Sam 'fully lit' Erck from Saltspring Island, utilizes the worlds oldest type of suspension, leaf springs front and rear and it works extremely well in this 'the world's best 4runner'.
With a 'bulletproof' 22RE, Toyota Land Cruiser diffs with 4.10s and 37" stickies on Backdoor Fab custom pineapple bead locks.
Does Sam have what it takes to take the cup home to the little Island?

KYLE SMITH

Kyle Smith is rocking a Ford 5.0L powered Jeep with a Ford C6 trans, 1 ton diffs and a set of 4 of the baldest BFG Red labels in the competition.
Will he get new tires for 2019 Island Cup Or will he show up and do crazy impressive stuff on the bald Reds?.

JON RUMLEY

Jon Rumley was born and raised on Vancouver Island.

Jon is all business behind the wheel of his Toyota based buggy. This Toyota has a linked Dana 60 front on 2.5 Radflo coilovers and a linked 14 bolt rear on coils.

Watch for Jon on the podium on Sunday?.

COLE PATTERSON

Cole is quickly building his ranger to throw his hat in the ring and compete in his first Island Cup.
Cole has Dana 44s front and rear with 'Island spec sticky' 36" Iroks.
Cole is a quiet guy but gets loud after crackin' a couple of cold ones with the boys.
Can Cole keep this home build ranger in one piece and drive it home?.

LANCE BANNER

Lance Banner is a born Islander that moved to Alberta to chase dollar bills and freeze his balls off!

He is going to make the trek back over the Rocky's to compete in his 1984 Toyota turbo diesel pick up. Lance is young guy with a high drive for building awesome stuff. When you see Lance Rollin Coal From his diesel watch the show!

Has Lance made enough oil money to hang with the big boys or will he be dragging a pile of parts back to Alberta?

JESSE WINDEBANK

Jesse Windebank from Shawnigan.
84 Toyota fuel injection, 5:29 lockers front rear, dual transfer cases, leaf sprung suspension, hydro assist steering and Trepadors.
Jesse finished 3rd in the trail class last year, How will he do this year in the drag axle class?

SHELDON WHYTE

Sheldon's Toyota buggy is powered by a 22re has 3 link front on coil-overs and 4 link rears on air shocks. Full hydro steering, mini truck axles with chromo shafts front and rear and some giant 36" irok tires

JUSTIN CAMP

Justin has a TMR Customs chassis, powered by a 6.2L backed by a th400 and an atlas. Locked 1 ton axles front and rear with some 42" stickies Trepadors. This will be one of the last times out for Justin's low ground clearance, bad visibility "wiener dog" buggy as he is planing to build a new one.

ROD VALDIVESO

Rod is gonna be competing in the Island Cup in a Polaris ATV that has 6" portals and 36" Intimidator tires with 18" beadlock wheels. Upgraded front Fourplay control arms with Keller ball joints and Super ATV trailing arms. Will this ATV be able to keep up with the Buggys? in has the ground clearance but not the wheel base.
